The material
When mixed with resin in like-for-like tests a Pilius X mixture
comes out stronger than fibreglass. Pilius X 12 mm sections x 2.6
grams mixed with 1994 grams polyester resin supported 87 tonnes,
whereas 2.6 grams of fibreglass mixed with polyester resin could only
support 66 tonnes
Pilius X has a unique quality when it is in the maximum failure load,
under compression of 87 tonne it will crumble. It is not like
fibreglass, when fibreglass is under compression at maximum failure
load of only 65 tone it will shear causing sharp dangerous edges.
Strength and impact tests carried out at London South Bank University
laboratories.

Unique crumble zone qualities unlike glass-fibre that shears and
leaves sharp edges; Pilius X is more like carbon-fibre.
